About Us This is our 7th annual soccer event to benefit Breast Cancer research. As a soccer family at Off the Wall Sports, we wanted to do something about this disease that affects all of our mothers, sisters, daughters and friends. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women (after lung cancer). Excluding cancers of the skin, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed type of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women in the United States (12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime. Soccer has provided the means for us to have fun while working toward our common goal of defeating Breast Cancer. We thank everyone who has helped our fight in even a small way. |
