                                                         Tournament Rules



Eligibility

1.         Open Division players must be 18 years old by August 7, 2011.

2.         Over 30 Division players must be 30 years old by December 31, 2011.

 

Equipment

1.         Playing surface is FieldTurf®.

2.         Players may wear cleats, turf, or indoor shoes. No spikes allowed.

3.         Shinguards are recommended.

4.         All members of a team must wear the same team color.

5.         Each team must have alternate jerseys in case of color conflict.

 

Rosters

1.         Teams will be limited to 15 players.

2.         No roster changes may be made after the start of the first scheduled game of the
tournament.

3.         At least 4 players, including the goalkeeper, must be on the field at all times.

4.         No players may double roster in the same age division.

 

Tournament

1.        There are 7 players on each side including the goalkeeper for co-ed and women’s
divisions. Men’s division has 6 players on each side.

2.         Each team will play at least 4 games.

3.         Each game will consist of two 18-minute halves.

4.         For co-ed, men’s goals are 1 point, women’s are 2 points.

4.         Ties will stand during preliminary rounds.

5.         Playoff games ending in a tie will go to 5-minute golden goal overtime period, maximum
of two periods.

6.         Penalty kicks will follow second golden goal period.

7.         If tied after first 5 shooters, sudden death penalty kicks follow. Each player must shoot
before any player may shoot again. All goals in overtime PKs are 1 point.

8.         Standings are determined by points. Win = 6, Tie = 3, Loss = 0. One point for each goal
(up to 3) and 1 point for a shutout.

9.         Head to head, goals against, goals for and finally coin toss will determine standings in
the event points are equal.

10.         Any player ejected on a red card will be unable to play the next game.
